~South Park

How often do you watch TV shows? What types of show do you enjoy watching? There are many kind of shows, such as comedy, drama, kids, educational, and commercial ext. Personally I do not watch television a lot, but when I watch television, I usually prefer to watch comedy shows. One of my favorite shows is South Park. In this show, there are four kids who lives in South Park, Colorado. The idea behind these show is that they make fun of today's society through these four country side kids. In my opinion, if you like comedy shows and like to mock at celebrities, I suggest you to watch this show.

~Text Messaging

“Most elections are won by fewer than 10 percentage points.” This statement was a really interesting fact to me. I did not know that how easy an election can be swung to other side. In my opinion, Obama’s targeting on younger voters was the smartest strategy. If you look at the population of America based on age, around 50% of it is ages between 18 and 45, and more than 70% of them use cell phones. Therefore, Obama’s campaign strategy worked out very well, and he collected majority votes from many younger voters and older people too.

We did our interviews and picture at the Millinium Park. We all did our best we can do. While Jade and Christine were busy with getting interviews from peole, Vitaliy and I were trying to put all the information into the glog. It was a great team to work with.

~Technology

In my opinion, this is the technology era. Our lifestyle and even our personalities can be described by technologies that we use today; some of us life depends on technology. For example, there are many people run their business based on technologies and even the microwave is the part of it. Therefore, I would say that I am one of those people who use technology for their everyday lives. In fact, I use many types of technologies for my daily use, such as household utility technologies, personal technologies, and advanced technologies. The utility technology includes television, radio, microwave, phone etc. The MP3 player or iPod, laptop, camera are can be categorized into the personal technology. If I do not use any technologies for my daily life, it would be really hard to imagine. For example, when you need to talk with someone, you have to write a letter, which takes more than a day to reach and respond; or without television and computer, news and media would spread around not fast as now days and not acquired as well. Also, without my personal technologies life would be slower and much boring than now. In general, technologies are one of the maid parts of our popular culture. Many people buy certain brand of technologies without any reason, or because of its popular and people buy them. Moreover, in the future and now, companies are more focusing on cell phone development and nanotechnology. But I do not have a prediction for how exactly they are going to be.

~My Interest in Music

We all start listening to music, when the time we were born. I have heard and enjoyed many differenent genres of music. Also, my interest had changed many numbers of times. Over all, the classical music has been always one of my most favorite ones. When I came to the States, I noticed that there are more singers and bands than my country. This means there are more compotation for them, and more varies of songs for us. I started listening to metal and classical music at the same time. This might sound awkward, but it is one of proves that everyone has different testes in music. I used to have no understanding for this kind of heavy metal genre. However, when I tried it, I started liking it. Beethoven is my most respected composer from classical, and slipknot is not bad band from metal bands. Some people judge metal because they think it just too loud, and scary. On the other hand, people do not like classical music. They say that it is too old and boring. However, it was wonderful to enjoy two totally different types of music at same time. In conclusion, it is nice to listen to varies of songs from different cultures, and see how people enjoy them.

~The Movie Juno

Juno is one of the many wonderful products of Fox Searchlight. It was directed by Jason Reitman, Canadian film director, and written by Diablo Cody, who is one of America’s famous screenwriters. The main characters in this movie are MacGuff (Ellen Page), Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera), and Vanessa (Jennifer Garner). In 2008, the movie won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and was nominated for the Oscars Best Picture and Best Actress for Ellen Page.When you start watching this movie, you might notice that unique acting of new actor Michael Cera.(Bleeker) In my opinion, it looks like he is not pushing himself hard to act like that, but he made his character pretty good. Also, Ellen Page’s work nominated for Best Actress. As you know that these two actors both from Canada and started their career in movie at age of ten.

If you are wondering what to do, I suggest you to see this movie. Maybe it is a great movie for parents and their teenage children. From this movie, you will see how hard it is to be teenager, to make right decision. My final word is, this is one of the movies you should not miss!

~Your Three Words

Our group members are Kledi, Pasha, and Tem, and we chose the theme friendship. We all agreed that friendship is the one of most important aspects in our lives; therefore, we picked this theme as our project theme. Friendship is a strong relationship that connects people with others, including different cultures. So, our project, three words, was focused on the bright side of friendship. For example, Kledi’s three words were “Loyalty Equals Friendly,” which means if you stay loyal to your friends; your friendship will not die. Pasha said “Always Be Honest,” that explains one of the best ways to stay in touch with your friends is being honest. And Tem’s ideal three words say “Teamwork Makes Dreamwork.” In other words, if you work as a team, you will see your dream will come true.
